Star Wars Fan Days (Dallas Comic Con)

Web site is up! Looks like they are doing the coupons here like at CIV. Does anybody have feedback on that process? First round of guests have been added (http://www.scifiexpo.com/dcc/SFX.html) and include:

I am extremely excited already. I've met Mr. Prowse only once before and am thrilled to get the opportunity again. Jeremy Bulloch is also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and Amy Allen is simply stunning. Good looking show so far.

The coupon method works out great....you do have to juggle your coupons when you go to get stuff signed....but that's better than juggling cash.

I see that both of the CLone Wars names are 2 coupons each again. Tom Kane signs for free through the mail. Grey, however, does not, but I'm still reluctant to pay $20 + photo cost for her.

Surely you can buy more coupons onsite right? I end up ALWAYS buying more than I plan on. Thanks for posting the dates, that would have been useful info.

Yeah....you can buy as many coupons as you want onsite.....I hadn't noticed if you could pre-order them on the website or not....you could do that online for C4.

I've got a buddy getting me a couple Prowse sigs this weekend at Dragoncon, but I'm going to be looking for someone to get me two more sigs at this show.

The plan is to have him sign a McQuarrie Vader as well as a 8x10.

I just got an email from Barrie Holland, telling me that he will be at this show, so i checked the site again and he has been added. I also noticed that Hasbro will be there.

Cool. I'm hoping WC and I can attend. We're taking a vacation in a week though, and I just started a new job, so I don't know if I'll be able to make it.

Great! Well I'm hoping someone will be there. I got two pics signed at Dragoncon via a friend of mine who went - now I have to get that McQuarrie Vader signed in Dallas.



By the way - if anyone decides to go, I've got extra C3 and C4 photos of most of the guests for sale @ $2.50 each (less if you buy multiples). Easy way to save a few bucks!

Sadly I will not be going. My work schedule has me busy that weekend...and I doubt WC will be attending without me. If for some reason my schedule changes, I'll let you know. I heard AmShak might be attending.

Although they claimed this was their biggest show ever, i would disagree. It was a good show and it was big (relatively speaking). Steve Sansweet had a nice presentation and Hasbro was there. The Hasbro presence was probably the most disapointing for me since it consisted on a single display case and one (might have been two) hasbro representative. I am unaware of Hasbro attending the Dallas show in the past, so i guess it's a start.

there were plenty of fans in costume, most of which were of course Star Wars related. But there were also klingons, ghostbusters, Tomb Raiders and SG-1, to name a few. Below are a few samples along with what i though was an impressive Samantha Carter

There were also plenty of dealers but there was only one that really caught my eye. It was the cartamundi table.

I didn't go up to all of the media guests, but all of the ones that i did were very nice as usual.
