Star Wars Affiliations

I'm putting together a list of affiliations that the characters in Star Wars belonged to.

For example:

• Rebel Alliance
• Galactic Empire
• Jedi Order
• Hutt Cartel
• Old Republic
• New Republic
• ...

If you'd like to help, please reply to this thread with additions you have for the list.

I'm primarily looking for larger groups (like above), but I'm also interested in smaller groups (for example, Rogue Squadron). Include any affiliations you can think of from other Star Wars sources (books, games, tv shows).

A quick few off the top of my head ...

• Sith
• Sepratists
• Senators
• Bounty Hunters
• Mandalorians
• Droids
• Non-sentient animals

I don't know how sort of deep / wide you want to take it, but there's also the planetary groupings (e.g. Corellians, Kaminoans).

The Dorling Kindersley and Essential Guide books (and possibly the Star Wars Fact Files) will have an "affiliation" type heading in the data panels. I'll look those up over the weekend if nobody else gets there first.

'Race' will be a separate category: Human, Ewok, Droids, etc. 'Location' is also a separate category (see the other thread).

'Affiliation' should be something more along the lines of a club that someone willfully joins (and could leave).

Thinking about it, I believe I'll also need a category for 'profession'. Senator and Bounty Hunter would be a profession.
