Success today from author Karen Miller. She wrote the Clone Wars novel Wild Space and is set to write two more as part of a 5 book Clone Wars series with Karen Traviss. I e-mailed her on the contact form on her website, and she sent me three signed bookplates!

Success today from Angela Lansbury, one of my favorite actresses. She sent me a signed 8x10 back in my SASE. I sent on October 7th to her home address.

First success of the new year today from the cast of All My Sons on Broadway. I received a signed playbill in only a week signed by nearly everyone in the show including Katie Holmes, John Lithgow, Diane Wiest, and Patrick Wilson. Great success!!

Well my 2009 TTM Autograph year started off pretty amazing! Received a surprise success from Sal Fondacaro! It only took 400 days for a reply! I thought my request had gotten tossed when I kept seeing other fans getting their items back. I’m guessing mine just got put at the way bottom and he finally found it. He personalized and signed all my custom Index Cards in Silver sharpie & even added a “May the Force Be with You Always” quote on one of them! Thanks Sal!

Whoo Hoo! My week started off really good. After three attempts at trying to contact her via Email with 3 different addresses I finally got a super nice success from teen Actress Scout Taylor-Compton! She sent me two 8x10 photos that were personalized & signed to my Sister and me. Instead of putting “To Ryan” on mine she put “To James” which is actually my middle name. LOL!

The funny thing is, I didn’t think she’d gotten my two previous requests which were sent on August 10th 2008 & September 23rd 2008 so I sent her one last night (January 25th 2009) after seeing a member on fanmail.biz get a success after only 4 days using her MySpace page (he sent it on 1-20-09). so when my sister came in with the mail she handed me the envelope and I like totally freaked out! At first I was like “No Way! I only sent this request yesterday!” But then when I looked inside I saw that she [Scout] included a print-off of the email I had sent her and the date was September 23rd 2008, which would have been the 2nd time I emailed her. So who knows, maybe I’ll be getting another envelope from her again with the request I sent yesterday. Thanks Scout!

Awesome successes Chewie! Glad to see your 2009 year is going well too. As for me?

Man! The replies just keep rolling in! Today I received an awesome success from Actor Matthew Modine, who is well known for his roles in: Full Metal Jacket (Pvt. Joker) & What the Deaf Man Heard (Sammy Ayers). Not only did he sign the 4x6 photos that I sent him, but he also included an additional two extra photo/postcards for the TUMI www.bicycleforaday.org campaign, one 4x6 photo from the Garry Gross photographer studio and a small vintage style “Majesty Cigarettes” card like manufactures used to put in boxes of cigars, and this one has his face on it as a baseball player! I’m very pleased to say the least. I never thought I’d receive a response quite like this! Thanks so much Matthew!
