I got my items back from ILM employee Jill Brooks Today! She signed all three of my Topps WV Cards (TPM# 26, AOTC# 78, ROTS# 24) Two were signed on the back & one was signed on the front. It only took 252 days for a reply! Thanks Jill! I used the ILM P.O. Box 29909 address in the WG database. (The ROTS card says: "Dear Ryan, Thanks for being a great Fan! Jill Brooks")

By the way -

I still have a ton of C3 and C4 photos available if anyone is looking for them. I'm selling them for less than 1/2 of what OfficialPix charges so there's some good deals to be had - and I combine shipping and give discounts for higher quantities.

If someone is going to SciFi expo in Texas, this would be perfect because if you're getting several autographs you can save yourself a decent amount of money.

I've been slacking big time too in my requests ever since I mailed out those 40+ requests, perhaps its because I've not gotten a response to more than half of them I don't feel too excited to get it done? Anyways, I've decided to delve deeper into collecting the crew of the OT, and I've been loading up on widevision cards to mail out, as well as doing tons of research on them. I've got right now in the neighborhood of 45 leads on crew members of ROTJ alone.

Got A reply back from Country music artist Dierks Bentley today!! He Signed & personalized a CD cover for my Sister and personalized & signed a custom made Index Card for me. I did send him three IC's but he just signed the one. he did use my SASE. Thanks Dierks your awesome!! My sister didn't know I sent him a letter, so she will be VERY surprised when I show it to her tomorrow!!

Yeah,

GOOD! It's not just me. Last year I was getting them back fast & furious - now it's MAYBE one a month if I'm lucky. I have over 100 out there now.

Right now I'm basically "upgrading" autos by sending Official Pix shots. I picked up some I didn't have in the OPIX sale, so basically I'm trying to get personalized version. Then I'll resell the unpersonalized shot I got (or covert some to multi-signed pieces).

I've got about 1/2 dozen ILM/effects folks left on my list and a few others. I've been focusing almost exclusively on Original Trilogy thus far (figure that most of these folks are 20 years older than the prequel personnel) and when I'm happy there I plan to "flesh out" the newer people that I don't have yet.

Just out of curiosity, what movie are most of the crew from? Perhaps we could split up the movies between the two of us, as right now I'm mainly focusing on RotJ crew members?

Mostly original trilogy folks - Bolte, Gawley, Huston. Pretty much anyone STILL with ILM that also worked on the originals. The addresses I've seen are all care of ILM so no real digging done on my part.

got a success from ILM employee Paul Huston! He signed all four of my Topps Cards (1977# 211, TPM# 76, AOTC# 44, ROTS# 24) on the back (I wish he could have signed them on the front, as the WV ones don't show up really good on the back.) anyway, He also wrote me a letter telling me about his most memorable moment working for George Lucas!! Thanks Paul!

I got my 1st Star Wars success today! from James Arnold Taylor aka the voice of Obi-Wan. He signed my 8x10 and index card. He also included a picture from TMNT signed and an awesome letter. I asked him about the new Clone Wars and he said he was recording the day he got the letter, check it out. He's super nice.
