Mr. Thompson has a lengthy career to his credit, consisting of dozens of movie and television appearances. He was once named Best Supporting Actor at the Cannes Film Festival. Outside of Australia, he is perhaps best known for his appearances in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. In AOTC, he played Cliegg Lars, Owen Lars’ father, and Shmi Skywalker’s husband. He has also appeared in Broken Arrow as a Joint Chief of Staff, and Man-Thing, the low budget Marvel comics movie.
