I was just looking at my Destroyer Droid Launcher today (yes, I know.....the greatest accessory ever made 
), and to my dismay found a problem.
The black ribbon in the launcher had glued itself to my ball-form destroyer droid, which had been stored inside. The ribbon detached easily, but unfortunately left a permanent weave pattern imprinted in the droid's paint.
While it isn't a terrible loss, or that noticible if you aren't looking for it, I would recommend to everyone not storing your droids inside the launcher.
Mine was in there for less than a month, I think only a couple weeks.
