Mimobot Star Wars USB drives series 3

Mimobot have started their third series of Star Wars USB drives - more quite cute, but expensive keyring drives to carry your important data around on.

Series two looked better then the "eared" series one and it looks like series three continues the "ear"less designs ... except for one, an Ewok maybe.

There's also the now-usual competition to win some of these USB drives.

First Star Wars MIMOBOT Series 3 Character Revealed!

Treacherous, sinister and devoid of compassion, iron fisted ruler of the Galactic Empire and all around bad guy, as NOTCOT first reported, our first Star Wars MIMOBOT Series 3 character is none other than the lightning-flinging Emperor himself, Darth Sidious!

Coming July 23rd you can help spread the Dark Side’s influence with your very own Darth Sidious Star Wars MIMOBOT designer USB flash drive. Use him to store all of your top secret space-station/super weapon plans… just be sure to keep it away from the Alliance!

One character has been revealed, unmasked, exposed if you will… but there are still three more characters whose identities yet remain shrouded in mystery! Three more characters and three more chances for all of you to score yourself a sweet new Star Wars MIMOBOT! So what are you waiting for? Get over to the forums and post your guess for the next character!

I can't find any news on the official Mimobot website, but according to Geekologie the second USB drive in the Star Wars series 3 is ... Wicket!!

Everyone's favorite protocol droid, fluent in over six million forms of communication and the long-suffering companion of one R2-D2 -C-3PO is the fourth and final character in the Star Wars MIMOBOT Series 3 collection!

As was reported on the Wired Blog Network, C-3PO is making his debut July 23rd at this summer's San Diego Comic Convention along with our other Star Wars MIMOBOT Series 3 characters: Darth Sidious, Wicket and the Emperor’s Royal Guard. C-3PO MIMOBOT is ready to serve all of your data storing needs, and like his movie counterpart this MIMOBOT droid is up for most any adventure, albeit unwillingly - travel ready and decked out in a sleek, shiny chrome gold finish!

This marks the end of the Star Wars MIMOBOT Guessing Game. Thanks to all of the dedicated fans who submitted their guesses on our forums -we've had a truly wonderful time playing with you!

You can get the brand new Star Wars MIMOBOT Series 3 over at the lab now or in-person first at the San Diego Comic Convention! To complete your collection, be sure to check out Star Wars MIMOBOT Series 2 while they’re still around!

Geez, it would be hideously expensive to collect all these, even as lowly 1GB drives.
