Today's collectibles are dessert cups from Argentina, made by La Serenisima. These cups were a promotion for Episode I in 3D, this past January. There were a total of 12 opaque Vanilla flavored cups and 2 clear Vanilla con Chocolate cups, each depicting Star Wars characters and Serenito mascots dressed as Star Wars characters. The opaque cups are glow-in-the-dark...all the white borders and logo text glows.

The six heroes originally came with blue lids, while the villains had red lids. While these cups are all difficult to obtain, the clear cups seem to be much less common. This is a nearly complete set. Not shown is a Darth Maul opaque cup and a clear Battle Droid cup. Also, these are all missing their lids. The lids are tall, and originally would have held graham cracker crumbles or other toppings.

Argentina seems to be a hot-spot licensed and unlicensed Star Wars collectibles. If the United States has promotions, it is like that Argentina will have their own unique promotions as well. La Serenisima previously made Star Wars yogurt for the Clone Wars cartoon. Cups and bottles of Yogurisimo were available featuring different characters.

A promotional Star Wars Serenito website is still online as of this posting. It allows you to use a webcam to place yourself into a Star Wars photo with Serenito characters, which is placed in an online gallery for all to see. Originally, kids could answer trivia questions and and enter codes from Sernito packaging to be entered to win Star Wars figures and video game consoles.
