A new pair of kids shoes is hitting Target shelves....Captain Rex shoes by Stride Rite. These shoes feature Captain Rex's signature markings and T-visor on the side of the shoe. In addition, they light up worn. Three red LED lights are on each shoe. One is hidden neatly in the Republic logo on the toe. The other two are inside Rex's visor, behind either end of the "T".
These come in a quickly becoming obsolete blue Clone Wars packaging, and are copyright 2011. They retail for $16.99, and come in a full range of child's shoe sizes, making for a notable difference of product size. The larger sized shoes and boxes are nearly double the size of the smaller sizes.Stride Rite made a similar Captain Rex shoe when they launched their new Star Wars line a couple years ago. This previous version more closely resembled Rex's helmet, and had his visor centered on the shoe. Stride Rite is no stranger to Star Wars shoes....they also produced a line of shoes for Return of the Jedi in 1983.
