I think that old and dead threads should be packaged and placed in an old and dead threads thread. There seems to be too many threads that had their day and are still hanging around. If they where moved to some other spot it would make things alot easier to find.

By clicking on the options button (with the star) and then clicking on "edit options" you will find a place where you can adjust your default thread view. This will make it so that you only see threads that are X amount of days old.

I would prefer that users make these sort of adjustments on an individual basis rather than forcing something like this on everyone.
