To clarify:
Until a user follows all of the instructions in the e-mail (that is sent to him/her when they register), they will not be considered a "Registered Member".
Only registered members can post in the forums.

Further clarification:
In the automated e-mail that is sent out to a user when they register, there is a link that you must follow to complete the registration process. Some e-mail programs may not recognize that it's a link, so it might be necessary for you to copy and paste the link into your web browser.
The activation code that is given to you is used by following this link in the e-mail. So if you've registered but have yet to activate your account - find that e-mail and follow that link.
