Rules:
Only members of the forum may play.
Five seperate 4 card hands are displayed with the contents of the hand hidden from the participants. Each hand is labeled with a letter that identifies it. Participants must select a hand and post a reply to this thread that contains the corresponding number to their selection. The following day, at approximately 8 pm central, the choices will be revealed and the scores will be tallied. This game will be played for 5 days. The gamer that has the highest score at the game's conclusion will win the prize.
Scoring is based on special "Bothan" rules. As such, our Sabacc will not be exactly like another version of Sabacc that you may be familiar with.
There are 4 sets of cards (sabers, staves, coins and flasks) with non-face cards ranging from 1-11 and face cards from 12-15. Non-face cards are worth positive points. Face cards are worth negative points. The object is to have the highest score without busting. You have a busted hand if you score anything greater than 23, less than -23 or exactly zero (the highest score is a 23).
The player with the highest scoring hand is awarded 5 points for the round. The second highest scoring hand is worth 3 points. And the third highest scoring hand is worth 1 point.
Additionally, if a player has a hand composed of cards all from the same set, they will receive 1 bonus point.
