When we first saw the Emperor send out those blue lightning bolts at Luke Skywalker in RETURN OF THE JEDI, it was truly a defining moment in the STAR WARS saga - not to mention a fine piece of filmmaking.
Then we saw the MYSTERY trailer that was exclusive to the EPISODE I DVD (if you have internet access) and there, again, we saw that crazy lightning. However, the source of that lightning was not seen. It's a fact that has yet to be actually confirmed, though many suspect they know who the source is and are probably right.
