Our SALE starts on MONDAY !
We also take PRE-ORDERS today for the ARENA PLAYSET. It is shipping to us much earlier than anticipated and they may even hit you before Christmas. It is one consignment and wll not come to us again. This toy is not being distributed in the UK by any other wholesaler's until at least January AND they will be at a higher price (rrp = 99, although that may drop to 99). We GUARANTEE the piece for just That is a great deal !
Today we have heard some bad news for us collector's, that is Hasbro are dumping E2 collector figures in January and maybe even as early as next week ! This is very bad for all of us that collect and spend good money on our Star Wars toys and figures, who consider our collection an investment. To see the investment down-valued overnight is indeed shocking, but we have no control over this at all, it has already happened....so we are simply the first to react.
This 'dumping' is generally aimed at wiping-out the smaller dealers so the larger chains can have control of the market - including Hasbro's own retail website (absurd, we know). Luckily, we are not so small and we can cope AND compete, though sadly a lot of us have already paid 'over the odds' this year as it now transpires. If we were offered these figures months ago at a more reasonable cost then we could all have benefitted from it and enjoyed this years' wares at a far lower cost, but now it is just a farce and way too late to change things.
If after 7 months of general release, figures and ships will be cleared by Hasbro, should we hold-off buying them when they are first released ? Who knows....
We are always honest with you and although we will lose money by clearing our large stocks, it is better to lose a little than to lose a lot. You have all helped us grow and offer the best service to the UK as far as exclusives and speed are concerned and we have very few complaints. We want to maintain our service and integrity so advise you herein that all figures from Monday will be reduced heavily.
In an effort to combat the price war, we will promise to be THE CHEAPEST Star Wars retailer in Europe for all of 2003 including cheaper exclusives and even faster delivery times. That is something to look forward to....especially when we may decide to sell you many items at cost or below in an effort to bring some damning reality to the UK marketplace. Our profits and business can be sustained by the other toy lines you have asked of us, and yes we will deliver them too.
You have no concerns at all about our well-being or the continued service you will receive from our distribution centre, all we ask of you is to understand the nature of the beast and the reasons why we must reduce our prices so violently.
Here is the crux of the deal, yet to be confirmed:

We will start the sale on Monday, however tomorrow we attend the Birmingham NEC to blowout as many toys & figures as possible. If there are any stocks left, you will all benefit from this great price from Monday until we are sold out.
For 2003, we anticipate all new releases at 5 or lower (retail) and exclusives should be retailed at around 10-15% less than any competitor. This will include the Shuttle Tyderium. Pre-orders for our price will automaticaly be reduced to just as of today (again, this is to be confirmed on Monday).
We will do our best to bring you the news first and offer the deals first.
We are sorry to bear ths bad news, but in light of the damage it will cause to our already volatikle market, take advantage of the cheap figures and buy as many as you can before they are all gone.
