Dark Lord of the Typos
I picked up the Clone Wars IG-86 figure this morning. I have to admit,
it's a lot of fun. I've spent the last 20 minutes in front of the
computer playing around with it. It's got lots of poseable articulation,
and the sculpt is great....cartoony...but not so much it wouldn't fit in
with regular figs. It finally dawned on me why I liked the figure so
much. Well...for one, that IG-88 was one of my favorite characters a kid,
especially since I had a vintage 12" version my mom picked up at a thrift
store. But what I really like about this figure are the
blasters.......they are a weathered navy blue color. Just like the
vintage figures. I can't remember another modern figure with blue
blasters. Just kind of a cool little coincidence that brought back old
memories.

On a side note, a friend informed me that the blue blasters are a running change....apparently the first versions of the figure had black blasters or some other color.
