Forget Christmas and New Year ... the junk mail flyer in yesterday's newspaper was advertising Easter eggs!!! Admittedly they're tiny Cadbury Creme Eggs, which are possibly sold all year (I've never bothered to look for them), but still it's just the tip of the iceberg.

Actually, Cadbury Creme Eggs are only sold for Easter (at least here in the US). My friend loves them and has bemoaned this fact for years. However, they did branch out this year and sell green Cadbury "Scream" eggs for Halloween in October.
