I've been going through some old boxes and came across this. I thought some of you might get a kick out of it.

Up towards the top above the X-wing, it looks like a flying Landspeeder.

I like the sheriff's badge on luke and 3PO looks more like the robot from Metropolis.

I think Peter Pan records got bought by Disney at one point. I had a bunch of those - Widget the Walkin' Whale, etc LOL

Apparently the idea for 3PO came from the robot in Metropolis...

Yes, I think I read that somewhere before but I was also thinking this...
Since leia isn't included in the image, maybe the thought is that character is a combination of leia and 3po and the dude is a combo of han and luke, although i'm not sure how chewie is worked in there ... maybe he merged in with the vader.

The images, especialy the death star and the TIE, remind me of spaceballs.

Apparently these guys didn't get anywhere with Lucas Licensing until Mr L saw their version of the Metropolis robot (see further down the linked page), said how she was the inspiration for 3po .
