Ok, so I put down The Three Amigos as my favorite non SW movie in my profile. If I had put a more complete list it would have included:

    Ghostbusters
    The Blues Brothers
    The Princess Bride
    Forbidden Planet
    Lawrence of Arabia
    2001: a Space Odyssey
    the Indiana Jones movies

and I am hoping to add Fellowship of the Ring to the list quite soon :)

Anyone else care to share their lists?

Sorry about the "Three Amigo" comment. I have a buddy who is a huge Martin Short fan and I love to give him crap about his moives. I'm sure that you can find problems with the movies that i'm going to list, so I'll shut up.

    In no order..........

    Strange Brew
    Swimming w/ Sharks
    Excalibur
    Good Fellas
    The Crow
    Highlander
    Stargate
    Fargo
    Dazed and Confused
    Austin Powers (both of them)
    Alien
    Matrix
    Blade Runner
    Sixth Sense

    So there you go

    :smooch:

Is your 'Highlander' pick all inclusive? Are you counting Highlander 2: The Quickening or any of the others?

The only good part in H2:TQ was seeing Sean Connery walk around England acting like an idiot. That ending was horrible.

To your list I would add:

    • Fincher Movies (such as Fight Club and Se7en)
    • The Usual Suspects
    • Aliens (I like the 2nd one better)
    • Kubrick movies (2001: A Space Odessey, etc)
    • Kevin Spacey movies (American Beauty and a few that have already been mentioned)
    • Sam Jackson movies (Pulp Fiction, Unbreakable)
    • The Hunt for Red October
    • Total Recall
    • Conan the Barbarian (if only for the music)

I don't know, that's what I can think of off the top of my head. Nobody has suggested an *unwatchable* movie yet and I think Am Shak's list is very decent.

Oh yeah, and every Kevin Smith movie is worth watching. Several times in fact.
