Sorry, I can't remember now whether that one was actually fan-made, made by the same person/people who made the original props, or was actually one of the original props ... but whoever built certainly wasn't a novice fan. They must at least have had some boat or custom car type of building experience.

seems like there were 10 of those made for some kind of promotion. one of them was at C3

Was this something to do with a small number of theaters and the release of epIII, or was it connected to the giant inflatable vaders at burger king?? Probably something else entirely, but a promotion of some sort rings a vague bell.

They had one at the SD Comicom in 2004. It's not quite life size, but it is darn cool. I know if I was rich and had lots of property, I would want one!
