With a film's director being the ultimate arbiter of tough decisions which number in the hundreds, when does he find time to actually direct? To allow George Lucas to focus on the challenges of capturing performances onto HD, the coordination of all the other details falls to a team of Assistant Directors led by Colin Fletcher, keeping the rest of production running smoothly.
While some of the other ADs previously worked together on Episode II, this is Fletcher's first behind-the-scenes experience as the First Assistant Director with a Star Wars film. His previous work include the films The Matrix, Ghost Ship and Red Planet.
