DELUXE MACE WINDU AND BATTLE DROID
</CENTER>

Just hitting retail stores nationwide is an old duet and package with lots of new changes. The Deluxe Mace Windu with corrected red color Battle Droid is slowly starting to surface.

At first sight it appears as if the droid's color was the only switch made to the set but, under close inspection, there are actually 4 more differences dealing with this second issue and April 23 first release. The variations are as follow:

<CENTER>"PN" NUMBERS</CENTER>
First issue: PN 6096930000
Second issue: PN 6096930600

<CENTER>LIGHTSABER TRAY</CENTER>

The first issue of this set offers a narrow tray for Mace Windu's lightsaber. When compared to the card's second issue, the later one is in fact about 1/4" wider.

Noticeable as well on this second version, are two newly added orifices holding the saber in place and located almost at the tip of the blade. The set's first release presented Windu's saber held only by a small wire close to its hilt, which the second version also has.

<CENTER>PICTURE ON THE CARD'S FRONT</CENTER>

When both versions are compared, the pictures located on the top right corner of the card's front differ greatly from each other.

The first version shows a tan color Battle Droid. The droid's right hand is not seen, as the picture ends at the edge of the card and only 10% (back) of his weapon is shown. Mace Windu's lightsaber blade has a pink tone to it as well.

The second version of the picture shows the new red color Battle droid. Its stand has been repositioned, showing entirely its right hand and 80% of his weapon as well. Mace Windu's lightsaber blade has a darker tone to it, being almost purple now.

<CENTER>BACK OF CARD. DESCRIBING PICTURES</CENTER>

The set of three pictures on the back of the card describing the features the figures come with, have been changed on the new version also. Here is a breakdown as first and second version:

PICTURE # 1 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. FIRST VERSION: Shows the Mace Windu figure from the waist up, arms slightly up "force attracting" the lightsaber

PICTURE # 1 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. SECOND VERSION: Shows a close-up on Mace Windu's arm alone, "force attracting" the lightsaber.

PICTURE # 2 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. FIRST VERSION: The Battle Droid's arms are positioned at chest level with his weapon pointing slightly up. Battle droid has a tan color

PICTURE # 2 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. SECOND VERSION: The Battle Droid's left arm has been raised and its hand now comes over his head. His right arm, placed at chest level, holds the weapon pointing much higher than the first issue. Battle droid has a red color

PICTURE # 3 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. FIRST VERSION: Faded motion shot of Mace Windu shows his left forearm and hand holding the saber. Faded motion shot of Battle droid does not show its feet. Left arm on Battle droid was raised and his hand placed at eye level.

PICTURE # 3 FROM LEFT TO RIGHT. SECOND VERSION: Faded motion shot of Mace Windu does not show his left forearm and hand. Faded motion shot of Battle droid shows its right foot. Left arm on Battle droid was placed down, showing his hand at waistline level

Plenty of changes ... Don't you think? Check out the detailed pictures that follow and see all these variations for yourself. Have fun!

Is there any chance of this Red Battle droid finding its way to single carded? I had heard rumours of this but wasn't sure....

Well, yes. The first battle droid released on April 23 will be changing colors (to red) sometime this year. This is what I have been told by a source with connections to Hasbro. As for now take it with a grain of salt until you see some kind of public confirmation by Hsbro themselves.
