Happy Holidays
11/25/01

Like the song says, it's the most wonderful time of the year. Even with all the craziness of the stores and traffic, plus the unbearable heat in Florida...it still hasn't dampened my holiday spirits. For me this is a time to spend with family and loved ones, to realize everything we have and to be thankful. So to keep this short I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to the staff and readers of The Bothan Spy. Also, my thoughts and prayers go out to all the great men and women who are serving in the military. They are many miles from home and away from family to ensure that we all have the freedoms that we do. Last but not least, my family....

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

BoShek Revealed!
12/05/01

Hasbro has revealed the newest addition to the POTJ line with the inclusion of BoShek. For those who may be unaware of who this is, he is a smuggler/pilot who brought Ben and Luke to the services of Han Solo in the Mos Eisley Cantina. Hasbro also included this brief statement regarding the figure...."Introducing BoShek, the latest addition to our Power of the Jedi line. BoShek is a smuggler and starship technician who flew hot ships for a Tatooine order of monks. It was BoShek who referred Ben Kenobi to Chewbacca in the cantina scene in A New Hope. BoShek comes with a removable helmet that he can hold in his right arm while he aims with blaster in his left hand. His blaster can also be put into his holster on his leg. BoShek is articulated at the neck, shoulders, right bicep, waist and legs. Here’s another great addition to your cantina dioramas!"
The figure is looking pretty good in my opinon. You can make your feelings known about BoShek by visiting our forums.

Our friends over at the Trade Federation have added some new, high quality pictures of the two cancelled EPISODE 1 2-Packs that featured Qui-Gon Jinn vs. Battle Droid and also a Jar Jar Binks vs. Destroyer Droid set to their End Of The Line series. Unfortunately these weren't released due to the fact that the E1 merchandise was so overproduced that retailers couldn't get rid of the older E1 stuff. Too bad because the pics sure look good. Update: Fan Club Exclusive Stormtrooper??
12/01/01

Once again Collect Star Wars has dug up some more dirt regarding the rumored FC exclusive Stormtrooper. Now it appears that this will be a two-pack as opposed to a single figure. They are reporting that the Stormies will be similar to the POTF2 CT Stormtroopers with the only difference being that they will come with a blaster instead of that awful rifle. No word as of yet if they will also include the blaster rack. There is also an image of the mailer box at the CSW so stop by and check them out.
