Lucas Shows Fisher Star Wars Screen Test For First Time
George Lucas showed Carrie Fisher her Star Wars screen test for the first time - when he appeared as a guest on her new TV talk show. The creator of the massively succesful sci-fi film series shocked the actress with the never-before-seen footage - which helped Fisher land the lead female role of Princess Leia. But Lucas revealed Fisher only just got the part that turned her into a movie legend - Berlin singer Teri Nunn was a close second choice. Neal Kendall, the executive producer of Fisher's new show Conversations From The Edge, which airs Wednesday on the Oxygen cable channel, says, "George Lucas doesn't like doing interviews all that much, but he's extremely comfortable with Carrie. They have remained friends."
