Dark Lord of the Typos
Sometimes the most fun collectibles are free. As promotions wind down, the displays are often just thrown away. Depending on what kind of displays they are and who they were made for, you can sometimes get ahold of them for free. It's all a matter of timing, who you ask, and how you ask. I lucked out and managed to acquire both display case insert, and the window poster for the recent McDonald's Angry Birds Halloween pail promtion, simply by asking the manager politely.
The display case insert contains one Star Wars and one Monster High treat pail attached to the cardboard display. The poster attaches to store windows using suction cups. The only other display I saw for this promotion was a transparent graphic used on the drive through menu, that I don't believe was still up at the time I asked.
