The latest Angry Birds tie-in is now hitting shelves at Walmart. Star Wars Angry Birds Fruit Snacks, made by Healthy Food Brands, is available in five different 20-pouch boxes. Boxes are available in Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Hand & Chewie, C-3PO & R2-D2, and Darth Vader themes. Each box appears to come with corresponding themed pouch designs. Boxes retail for about $4 each. This box was a gift from fellow collector Jedi Cole.
It should be noted that these are not related to the Star Wars Fruit Snacks that have been on the marked for the past few years. Different manufacturer, flavors, and packaging materials. The pouched are extremely sturdy, and are designed to be torn using the tear mark. Those looking to preserve them as collectible will want to open the pouches using a sharp blade.
