Collectible of the Day
Today’s collectible is a Greedo bust by Legends in 3D. In the late 1990s, Legends in 3D made products for a number of sci-fi series, including Star Trek, X-Files, and Marvel Comics. Their Star Wars line had the widest selection, consisting of 5 different character busts and an amazing Gamorrean Guard statue. Other busts included: Emperor Palpatine, Cantina Band Member, Tusken Raider, and Boba Fett (available in either ESB or ROTJ paint designs).
This Greedo bust is made of cold-cast porcelain, and is quite heavy. It measures about 10 inches high, and nearly 6 inches wide at the shoulders. The spines, or “hair,” on his head appear to be made of thick wire. It’s a very attractive statue, and if you shop around, it can be found on eBay for less than the cost of the smaller Gentle Giant busts. I was lucky enough to purchase this bust already signed by actress Maria de Aragon, who was one of two to play Greedo.
