As with the Death Star, even the airtight security of mighty Lucasfilm has it's weakness and, like a nimble X-Wing fighter, one determined soul breached the deflector shields - and doubtless a fairly strict confidentiality agreement - and sneaked a copy of Episiode II out into the public domain.

Aintitcool, through arrangements that would make the most paranoid conspiracy theorist proud, were made privy to an early cut of the film and liked what they saw. The whole 'Phantom Menace is crap, no it isn't, yes it is' debate will doubtless rage on until the end of time but, if Harry Knowles is to be believed, Attack of The Clones is a completely different story.

"This movie is the real deal. It is smart, beautiful, thrilling and electrical. Essentially it is a pure action adventure science fiction fantasy with a touch of romance. Line up now. This Star Wars is for real," so says Aintitcool and legions of loyal fans doubtless sigh with collective relief. Featuring more superlatives than you can shake a blaster at, Attack of The Clones gets an unmitigated thumbs up from the site, with special praise reserved for Ewan's Obi Wan and such mind-blowing scenes as Yoda's much vaunted fight sequence and the bar confrontation.

Going so far as to say that even the reasons for Jar Jar's accursed presence in the series become apparent, this early review would doubtless do old George proud, but something tells us his ire over the leaking of the film will somewhat mar this warm reception.
