Saboteur
Every year, there is a sci-fi convention in Toronto. Past SW personalities have included Billy Dee Williams, Dave Prowse, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Ray Park, and a ton of others.

This year, only Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) is scheduled to attend as far as SW is concerned, but there are a host of other big names that will be there.

The biggest name is Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard, Professor X, etc.)

Also there will be:

George Takei (Mr. Sulu)
Helmut Kungel & Troy Robinson (F/X work on LOTR: ROTK, Catwoman, & King Kong)
Cirric Lofton (Jake Sisko on DS9)
Aron Eisenberg (Nog on DS9)
Emma Caulfield (Anyanka on Buffy)
Mercedes McNab (Harmony Kendall on Angel)
Julie Benz (Darla on Angel)

There is much more. The convention is a cross-promotion that features Comics, Anime, and new this year, Horror.

In the comics section, there will be appearances by a number of writers and illustrators of such comics as Batman, Superman, JLA, X-Men, TMNT, Transformers, and many others.

The Anime section will have appearances by many voice stars and creators of anime cartoons.

The Horror section has a slew of names as well (in fact, it's the reason I intend to go). Appearances by the following:

George A. Romero (writer/director of classics such as the Living Dead trilogy (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead), Monkey Shines, Tales from the Darkside, Creepshow, etc.)

Bill Mosely (Chop Top in TCM2, and in House of 1000 Corpses)
Doug Bradley (Pinhead from Hellraiser)
Tom Savini (F/X Legend who did the gore effects in Dawn and Day of the Dead, and the original Friday the 13th)
Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees from many of the Friday the 13th films)
John Kassir (voice of the Cryptkeeper from Tales from the Darkside)
+ many others

The convention will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre at 255 Front St. W. in downtown Toronto from August 27-29, 2004

Tickets are $20 Canadian ($14 US) for one day passes, and a deluxe 3-day pass will run $39 Canadian ($25 US). There is also a special fee to see Patrick Stewart.

A Gold Pass costs $169, and gets priority seating in the lecture, 1 free 8x10 autographed photo with certificate of authenticity.

A Silver Pass costs $119, and gets you reserved seating at the lecture, and 1 free autographed 8x10 photo.
