KOTOR II receives massive, decade-late patch
Built-in mod support and more.

Ten years after its initial release, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords has received a significant update.

Teaming up with the team behind the Sith Lords Restored Content Mod, developer Aspyr has baked in Steam Workshop support, enabling easy access to mods, including the famous cut-content mod.

KOTOR II's update also brings with it achievements, cloud saves, controller support, and resolutions of up to 5K, including native widescreen support.

The game is also now available on Mac and Linux for the first time.

At initial release, KOTOR II's official PC version was notoriously bug-plagued and rushed, making the decade-late patch all the more surprising.

On the other hand, it is only the latest of many LucasArts-branded games to be overhauled, joining many others that only appeared on modern gaming services in the past year.

BioWare has also dropped the price on KOTOR II for a week, to US$7.49.
