Dark Lord of the Typos
I was just over at Sandtroopers.com and noticed they have some nice reviews of the Battle of Christophsis and Clone Wars AATs. They don't compare the two, but the two blue AAT tanks actually have completely different paint jobs. While they are similar, they are NOT the same, as can be clearly seen when side by side. Head over to Sandtroopers main page to open the reviews. Very cool for army building....not so cool for the wallet. Happily it's not just a case of Hasbro going..."oh..we added a blaster scorch so they are different."
While there are numerous differences, the main ones are:
Clone Wars tank has:
gray oval on front with two forked stripes coming off of it...resembling a "blue-prize ribbon"
gray triangle pattern along front by missle launchers
silver-gray primary cannon
blue and gray posts for side turrets
single gray stripe on back
red battle droid in cockpit
Christophsis tank has:
gray oval on front
almost all gray design over missle launchers
charcoal-gray primary cannon
solid blue posts for side turrets
two gray stripes on back
white battle droid in cockpit.
Also, contrary to their review...the Christophsis tank's missles do indeed fire...you just have to push the button really hard.
