The legendary "Godfather of Soul", James Brown passed away this morning at the age of 73, apparently of complications from pneumonia. Read here for all the details.

Joe Barbera, of the Hanna-Barbera animation duo, died recently as well (Bill Hanna died a few years ago). I wonder who's going to be the third?

In addition to James Brown and Joseph Barbera, Peter Boyle also pass away last week. He was better known as Ray Romano's father in Everybody Loves Raymond, but he was a veteran of many, many movies like Young Frankestein and was a guest star in a memorable episode of the X-Files. In which he won a Emmy.
