It will be interesting to see which drawing they base the figure off of. In later art the stormtroopers have lightsabers!

Yeah, whether it is a Stormtrooper with a lightsaber, the conceptual C-3po (which very much looked like the robot in the film "Metropolis") or any other characters created by this artist, I'm glad McQuarrie's work will be inmortalized in plastic.

Certainly this conceptual artist and designer gave us an unforgettable array of characters on the Star Wars trilogy.

Here are two more concept drawings by Ralph McQuarrie, taken from his archives. The first one is an early Darth Vader mask, which will really make a great action figure; the second one, well, the second one I'll leave it up to you guys to figure out who the character is ...
