Dark Lord of the Typos
John Ratzenberger has more than a few years’ experience in film and stage. He has appeared in a number of fan fave movies, including Superman I and II, House II, Motel Hell, and A Bridge to Far. Most people, however, remember him as Cliff Clavin, the mailman on Cheers. More recently, he has done voice work for all of Pixar’s animated movies, and hosted a tv-series called Made in America.
Mr. Ratzenberger had a small role in the Empire Strikes Back as Major Bren Derlin. He’s the Echo Base officer who informs Princess Leia that the shield doors must be closed for the night.

Mr. Ratzenberger has always been hit or miss when it comes to obtaining autographs. He typically responds to fan mail, but changes addresses very frequently
A new address has surfaced and yielded results, including a signed B&W 8X10 sent by Mr. Ratzenberger. Having failed to obtain his autograph years ago, I’m going to try again with this new one.
